About The Reserve at Two Horses Farm
Rooted in Legacy. Built on Strength.
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Morganton, North Carolina, The Reserve at Two Horses Farm is more than a venue — it’s a living tribute to the generations of women whose strength and endurance shaped its story.
Our Name.
The name Two Horses doesn’t come from animals grazing in a field, but from a woman — the owner’s Cherokee great-grandmother several generations back. Her name was Two Horses.
In the mid-1800s, she was taken from her family and brought to the rugged borderlands between North Carolina and Tennessee. Her life was marked by hardship and confinement, yet through that pain, she became the matriarch of a lineage defined by resilience and grace.
Today, her great-granddaughter walks the same Appalachian soil — not in bondage, but in ownership, independence, and reverence. The Reserve stands as a testament to that transformation — from endurance to empowerment, from survival to celebration.
A Place Reserved for What Matters Most
The word Reserve holds deep meaning. It represents the owner’s hope that this land will always remain a farm — a space preserved in perpetuity for connection, beauty, and growth. Every decision made here is grounded in quiet strength and gratitude for the women who came before, and in the belief that this land carries their spirit still.
This is a place where heritage meets modern elegance — where love, legacy, and celebration naturally intertwine.
A Destination Rooted in Nature
Located just 2,000 feet from Lake James at the base of Linville Gorge, The Reserve at Two Horses Farm offers the beauty of a destination wedding without ever leaving North Carolina. Surrounded by mountain trails, scenic views, and the calm of open countryside, it’s a haven for couples who love the outdoors and the art of meaningful celebration.
When you step foot on this land, you’re walking into a story — one of endurance, beauty, and becoming. This is more than a business or a farm. It’s sacred ground. A living story of strength, legacy, and love.
